Where do I even begin?! I suppose at the beginning. We decided that we were going to stay local for our 25th wedding anniversary and landed on doing a bit of gambling and treating ourselves to a high end dinner at SR Prime Steakhouse. We were NOT ready. I do admit that we don't go out to eat much, as we have 3 good cooks at home! It started with the hostess. Lovely young woman, very sweet and helpful. The atmosphere is very nice. High end, but not bougie, which we love. A very welcoming environment. We were seated and the gentleman assisting our server, Isaac, introduced himself. He was attentive, and good at casual conversation while remaining professional. Hopefully that makes sense. Not stuffy at all. Then we were greeted by Erica, our server. She was so helpful with explaining how the menu works, making sure we knew the special, was knowledgeable about the oysters, everything really, and made wonderful drink suggestions. She really is just a sweet soul and wonderful at her job. I look forward to going back just to have the overall experience again! On to the drinks and food! Erica suggested the Yellowstone for my husband. I already knew I wanted a dirty martini. The Yellowstone is a smoked old fashioned that arrives in almost a lantern looking situation that is filled with smoke. As it is opened, the smoke exits the enclosure and reveals a beautiful cocktail that my husband fully enjoyed. It truly added to the experience. For food, we ordered the oysters on the half shell (SO GOOD) and the caesar salad (very good, but overdressed in our opinion) to start. Our main dish was a petite filet for me and my hubs had the aged New York Strip. We split the grilled asparagus. The steaks were melt in your mouth delicious. I also added roasted garlic butter on mine and shared with my guy. Even the asparagus was simply grilled, but the most amazing asparagus I have ever tasted. Our eyes were clearly bigger than our stomachs, and we each ended up taking half of our main meal home. We were also given dessert to take home, on the house, because it was our anniversary. We couldn't have asked for a better experience to celebrate 25 years of marriage and a much needed night out. We will definitely be back. This place is worth every penny you spend. You can clearly see that they want you to have a lovely experience, not just a meal.

My husband loves SR, so I decided to book his 50th birthday dinner there. We arrived just before 5 pm, were greeted, and checked in. The place is very nice and elegant. The vibe was relaxing. Our table had birthday glitter, and everyone acknowledged him. Our server was Chelsey with Isaac assisting her. They were both amazing! Our food was delicious, drinks strong and dessert yummy. Thank you for making it special! Totally forgot to take pics of the food lol!

My husband booked a dinner reservation here via Open Table for our anniversary dinner last evening. From looking at the photos and reading some of the reviews here, to be honest, I didn't have high expectations. But we are so glad we gave this place a try, and we will be back for sure. What stood out the most was the service. From the time we walked up until the time we left, every one of the staff members was so courteous, professional, and friendly--very attentive but not overly done. It was our anniversary, so when we were seated, the table had some little anniversary confetti decorations on it, which was a nice gesture. For food and drinks we had: burrata truffle salad, a 7 oz filet mignon, braised osso bucco (the special they had going on), lobster cavatappi, garlic broccolini, and 2 glasses of Caymus red blend. The server asked if we were sharing the burrata starter; to which we said yes, and so it came out beautifully presented split on 2 separate plates for us. It was a delicious mix of fresh, creamy burrata and colorful heirloom tomatoes, drizzled with truffle oil and little balsamic "caviars". We love burrata and typically would order it wherever we see it on the menu. But we had never had it with truffle oil. It was so delicious! The filet was perfectly cooked to our medium rare liking, well-seasoned, and very tender. The osso bucco came with creamy polenta and sautéed Swiss chard. It was good, but needed some salt. The lobster cavatappi was very good and came at a very generous portion, with quite a few chunks of lobster in it. The broccolini was very, very garlicky, and also needed a bit more salt. Since it was an anniversary celebration, they gave us a choice of dessert on the house. We chose the seasonal cobbler, which was peach last night. It was also very good. The fruit was not over cooked and mushy, not too sweet, and came topped with vanilla ice cream. We both enjoyed it a lot. Including taxes and tips, the bill came to under $300, which was pretty good, considering we had plenty of leftovers to take home; especially the lobster cavatappi!

Thank you Lauren for really showing us what a high end steakhouse experience should be. There has recently been some updates in the dining experience here. I am glad to say the direction overall for is in the correct manner. Although we will miss some of our favorites from the menu we are optimistic about trying some new items. For those who never had a chance to try the carpaccio before it was replaced with the tartare I'm sorry! Ambiance here has never really been an issue, and the portions are just right!

Ambiance/service: Within the casino, really modern design with helpful & respectful staff. Food: Starters: Caesar salad(split pictured) 5/5 actual anchovies, fully dressed with bite sized lettuce pieces. Clam chowder 3/5-was really heavy but it was cool how they served it deconstructed with broth poured on the potatoes, clams & bacon. Wish the broth was a bit more seasoned. Entree: Boneless ribeye with side of chimichurri-4/5 but price is a bit steep. Perfectly cook & a nice crusty exterior. Have definitely had more tender ribeyes. Could have easily split this with another person if you order the amount of sides/soup/salad like we do. Sides: Potatoes- 4-5butter based & simple. Good for a family to share. Not much depth of flavor 3/5. Carrots 5/5 very flavorful, sweet, smokey with awesome texture. A must order. Toppers: Bearnaise sauce topper- 5/5 acidic, creamy & was much needed. Chimichurri sauce topper- 2/5 didn't add much to the steak & may work better for a tougher cut like a New York or sirloin. Crab topper- 2/5 was way too heavy & wasn't seasoned. Was fresh crab but overtook the steak's flavor rather than compliment it. Dessert: Seasonal cheesecake(pecan)-5/5 Sweet, salty, creamy, velvety with deep flavors. One of the better dessert's I've had. Pecan pie & cheesecake combined! Unfortunately we weren't able to get the affogato because their expresso machine was down. Price of meal- 3/5. For being in a price range between Ruth's Chris, Sutter Street Steakhouse & Morton's it is a notch below those places. Was it a good meal? Yes. Was it warranted with the high prices when you could go the other options...in my opinion, no. For example, a place like Ruth's Chris not only has the entrees 4/5 or 5/5 but all the sides & starters as well. Overall score 4/5 May be back for a special occasion in the future but Ruth's Chris/Morton's/Sutter Street Steakhouse will be the go to high end spots in the Sacramento area for me.

Oooh this place broke our wallets lol First time coming here for a celebration and we really enjoyed ourselves! Our waitress was so kind, patience and attentive. We ordered for starters a charcuterie board and bread and butter. Bread was super soft! Then for drinks, everyone chose their ideal drinks from scotch, whiskey, martini, Gotham (video) and IPA. Then a few minutes later, around food came! Yay! Forgot to take a picture of my Caesar Salad! The salad was tasty, nothing to rave about BUT the protein..omg that NEW YORK STEAK. You would have thought it was the tomahawk but nope! The New York was the winner. Prefect medium rare, red, flavorful and juicy. The Seared Scallop was pretty good, but the middle was somewhat cold... they were huge though! Regarding the tomahawk, it was somewhat dry...Parts were super well done and not as flavorful compared to the NY Steak. The interior was very beautiful. High ceiling with just the prefect lighting. Overall, I'd go back for the NY steak. It was delicious and very little effort to chew. Take my money for real. Lol

I was so impressed with this restaurant, the ambiance gives Vegas Vibes for sure, the service was first class, everyone was friendly, professional and attentive. The food was amazing. Presentation was on point and every dish we had was full of mouthwatering flavors, the wine that was paired to each course was cakebread cellars.

The food and service here is great for being inside a casino! We ordered the tomahawk, half dozen oyster, fries and broccolini. The tomahawk was a great size and cooked perfectly to our order. Definitely recommend adding the garlic butter and chimichurri sauce! The steak itself lacked a bit of salt but the sauce really helped. For drinks we got the yama bu and green ranger! Both were delicious! The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 is because we waited a while for our steak.
